Marketing campaign - Blackcurrants NZ
Exciting new research on the benefits of blackcurrants on sport performance led Blackcurrants NZ to seek us out for public relations expertise.
Professor Mark Willems had found that the country’s blackcurrants improved cyclists’ performance and recovery. The England-based researcher was set to visit New Zealand, and the organisation wanted to use this opportunity to raise awareness of his research.
To promote the professor’s findings and that of other NZ-based blackcurrant researchers, our team produced a series of media releases which were picked up by local and national media, including Spoke Magazine and NZ Road Cyclist Magazine.
Best of all, TV One’s Breakfast Show saw the implications this research could have for both sportspeople and our blackcurrant industry, and aired a feature story on the programme. The segment included growers, the research and Kiwi athletes who were using blackcurrants supplements in their daily diet.
