Meg Rawson
Senior Communications Advisor
Meg brings a wealth of experience in local government communications and community consultation to the Priority Communications team.
Originally from Australia, she completed a Bachelor of Communication with Distinction at the University of Newcastle, majoring in public relations. After spending time with the New South Wales Rugby League communications department and presenting sports news at radio station 2NUR-FM, Meg relocated across the Tasman to Canterbury.
She was Ashburton District Council’s communications officer for several years, providing communications expertise across a range of local government issues, Civil Defence emergencies and community events.
Since joining the Priority Communications team, Meg has continued providing our local government clients with consultation, internal comms, emergency management, and communications services, and supports several of our national clients.
Meg thrives on delivering major campaigns and community engagement projects, having helped to deliver a complex, first-of-its-kind consultation for a national body that would set a precedent for future consultations of its type.
She enjoys the variety and scope each day at Priority Communications brings, whether that be assisting clients to tell their story across a range of media, or developing eye-catching marketing and communications campaigns.
